"Gathering of Friends" was designed to inspire people to gather and enjoy each others company within a common place. This site is adjacent to the pre-school at Temple Sinai in Sandy Springs. It was an odd shaped unused space that housed an old dumpster encloser.  The space was reimagined by LDC,  with the intent to capture overlapping human scale spaces with a contemporary flair. Material choices such as the granite were very intentional, as to tie in with existing features on the Temple Sinai campus.
